Description
Knowledge Graphs are particularly well suited for the representation and management of data with complex relationships. While various access control models exist to secure such systems, current implementations often reach performance and scalability limits when applied to complex Knowledge Graphs. Many traditional models do not fully account for the inherent structure of Knowledge Graphs, which can lead to limitations and problems in managing data access permissions.
The objective of this thesis project is to evaluate access control mechanisms for Knowledge Graphs. First, a comprehensive analysis of existing access control models is to be conducted to identify their strengths and limitations in real-world applications. This analysis includes a review, classification and evaluation of current solutions with regard to their performance, scalability and suitability for different usage scenarios. Based on the findings, an access control model must be selected and optimized to address identified limitations. Finally, the improved access control model has to be evaluated to measure its effectiveness.
