Current Research Information Systems (CRIS) such as VIVO are applications to aggregate information about ongoing research projects, dissertations/habilitations, published papers, departments, research experts, knowledge areas and other scientific entities. The main purpose is to get insights into current research activities and resources. Therefore, flexible analytics and reporting tools are needed to get instant information for a particular question and to export these results in an established standard, such as KDSF, or a common file format, such as CSV, or to provide them via defined interfaces to further applications.
The objective of this internship is to develop a solution that can provide research analytics and insights into research activities at TU-Chemnitz based on tools such as Kibana. It shall both be possible to provide a dashboard with overall statistics and general trends, but also to easily formulate queries and to export or to visualize these results.
