The Master thesis shall address dedicated evolution, governance, and composition aspects for the development of modern Web applications in the context of REST-oriented infrastructures and Mashup-oriented delivery platforms. The Master’s project will start with a detailed exploration of the general background for describing REST-services and mashups. This includes the description of common legacy systems, legal constraints and existing standards in this context. Based on this background information the thesis project will identify possible “building blocks” for integration into WAM. Finally, the main objective of the project is to develop an extension of WAM that builds a first foundation for describing Mashups-oriented Web applications in a REST-oriented environment. The modeling solution shall be demonstrated with the infrastructure services of the VSR or within the context of the EC FP7 project OMELETTE.
